FUTURE BRIGHT FOR GUTSY RENSHAW

There were many talking points from Australia’s comprehensive underdog victory in the first Test in Pune – Steve Smith’s century, Steve O’Keefe’s 12 wicket match haul, the pitch, and India’s unexpected batting capitulation to name a few. In the aftermath of the famous victory Matt Renshaw’s heroics seem to have been forgotten, even when his run to the toilet was the talking point of day 1.
When David Warner was dismissed for 38 his opening partner Renshaw also ran off the field due to stomach problems, which led to former captain Allan Border slamming the 20 year old saying he should have stayed at the crease despite his obvious discomfort.
