It’s been a pretty depressing start to 2017 for Australian Super Rugby fans, with the Rebels copping two humiliating defeats and perennial heavyweights the Brumbies and Waratahs looking anything but.
Wind-back Wednesday is pining for the golden era of the late-1990s and early-2000s via this amazing highlights package of the mercurial Matt Burke.
Burke scored 959 points in 78 Super Rugby matches for the Waratahs (1996-2004), and tallied 878 points in 81 Tests for the Wallabies (1993-2004) – the latter just 33 short of Michael Lynagh’s Australian record.
